What to Do
RELAX & ENJOY!

Cane Garden Bay Beach
|
Swim - Fish - Snorkel
SWIM
- due to our leeward location on Tortola, Cane Garden offers one of the finest beaches in the B.V.I. There is no need for swim shoes on our beach! The white sand continues all the way to the reef. In summer months, the bay is a relaxing, tranquil pool. In winter months, if the surf is up, you may enjoy the excitement of a little body surfing.
FISH - venture to the point and enjoy the sport of tarpon fishing, right from the beach!
SNORKEL - for inexperienced and young vacationers, Cane Garden is the spawning ground for several varieties of fish. With or without a mask and snorkel, enjoy watching them play around your feet or venture only 50 yards off the beach and see more colorful varieties on the wreck of an old barge. For a more involved snorkeling experience, there are many day charters that cater in "taking you where the fish are" (for our favorite, check out
Aristocat Charters.

Dine
You could spend a month on Tortola and never eat at the same restaurant twice. If you prefer to walk to dinner, there are seven beach front restaurants to choose from, each specializing in West Indian cuisine as well as fresh fish, barbeque and continental foods.

Read
Take a book to the beach or your panoramic balcony, the choice is yours. Bring your own novel or make use of our extensive
library (fiction, non-fiction, Christian and secular selections) and, if your vacation ends before the last page of your book, take it with you. We regularly restock our selection with the help of guest donations.

Scuba Diving - Sailing
SCUBA DIVING -
There are many exciting scuba opportunities in the waters surrounding Tortola, including the famous "wreck of the Rhone." Go to www.bviwelcome.com. Once at the home page, select "At Sea" and "scuba" options.
SAILING - Tortola is a sailor's paradise
and the Caribbean sailing capital. The consistent trade winds (15-20
knots), deep water, and the 'line of sight' sailing between islands make
the British Virgin Islands one of the most frequented sailing
destinations of the world. You can charter a bare boat or a fully
crewed yacht from many charter companies. Our favorites are
'Mustard Seed' (for a 'surf and turf' vacation) or day
sailing aboard 'Aristocat' (see Friends & Links).
